Apostle James O. Smith

Apostle James O. Smith is a native of Richmond, Virginia.  He received his early education in Richmond Public Schools, graduating from George Wythe High School.  He later continued his education receiving certification in Computer Repair, Electrical Technician and Nursing.

He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in October of 1982 and was baptized in the Holy Spirit that same year.  During this time he was a member of Faith Gospel Temple Church for 10 years where he served under his Pastor as a member of the choir and dedicated himself to the Cleaning and Transportation Ministries.

In 1992 he became a member at Faith Landmark Ministries. There he served as Department Head over the Richmond Outreach Inner City Ministry, overseeing for 6 years the Whitcomb Court and for one year the Mosby Court District.  He also faithfully served for 6 years on other ministries such as security, prison and cleaning ministries.  He also served 10 years as a Pastor's aide and usher.

While at Faith Landmark Ministries, Apostle Smith, furthered his studies by attending Faith Landmark Ministry Bible Institute where he later graduated and received his diploma.  Apostle Smith certified also in the area of Children's Ministry attended Willie George Ministry in Oklahoma.  In 1992, Apostle Smith was ordained as Reverend Minister of the Gospel.  Apostle Smith was given an Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree in 2001. 

Apostle Smith answered the call to ministry by starting a bible study in his home on Tuesday nights. In May 2002, again Apostle James stepped out in faith by going into full time ministry.  Birthing out Down To Earth Ministries.  His motto:  "The Lord just dropped this in my Spirit."

Prophet Dinah Smith

Prophet Dinah K. Smith was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina where she received her early education in the Spartanburg Public School System.  Graduating from Carver High School in 1969, she later continued her education at Bull's Clinic School of Nursing.  She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior November 17, 1980 and was baptized in the Holy Spirit one week later.

During this time she was a member of Faith Gospel Temple Church from 1980-1992 where she was a faithful member and servant.  While under this ministry she worked at the daycare, served on the cleaning ministry and as the nurse for her Pastor as well as launching the church's tape ministry, which is still in operation today.

In 1992, Prophet Dinah Smith joined Faith Landmark Ministries.  From 1992-2002 she served faithfully on the following ministries:  Altar Worker, Bible Babies, Greeter, Ladies Scarves and Prison Ministry.  She also served along side her husband at the Boy's Home and together served for six years as overseers in the inner city outreach ministry in Whitcomb Court and one year in Mosby Court.  In May of 2002, Prophet Smith and her husband started a bible study in their home and from there started Down To Earth Ministries.  Prophet Dinah is happily married to Apostle James O. Smith; from this union they have three children, two lovely daughters and one son, which is a mighty man of God.  Also eight bold soldiers for Christ grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Pastor Tovian J. Smith

Pastor Tovian J. Smith is a native of Spartansburg, SC. He received his early education in Spartansburg Public Schools. Pastor Smith moved to Richmond, VA in the summer of 1978 with mother and sister. Pastor Smith continued his early education at Summerhill Elementary and East End Middle. Pastor Smith graduated from Monacan High School in June of 1989. After graduating high school, he enrolled in the Army. Pastor Smith served his country for eight years and received an honorable discharge for time served. He later continued his education receiving state certification in Nursing, QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional), QDDP (Qualified Developmental Disability Professional), working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Pastor Smith accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in June of 1981 and was  baptized in the Holy Spirit that same year. During this time, he was a  member of Faith Gospel Temple Church for 10 years where he was a member of the adult and youth choir. He was also an usher as well.  

In February of 2000 Pastor Smith became a member of Mt. Gilead Full Gospel International Ministries serving on the security ministry, evangelism ministry, as well as aide to the Asst. Pastor. Pastor Smith served faithfully for 5 years before transitioning to Down To Earth Ministries Worship Center.

Upon becoming a member at Down To Earth Ministries Worship Center. Pastor Smith cleaned the church, served on the outreached team, and supported the leaders of the ministry to help grow the church. On February 12th of 2022, he accepted the call of Pastor on his life. As a young boy at Faith Gospel Temple it was prophesied that Pastor Smith would be great in the Lord and proclaim the gospel and evangelize. Although he is called to Pastor, Pastor Smith also has a passion to evangelize. The heart of Pastor Smith is to see that all come to recognize who they are in Christ and who they belong too. Pastor Smith continues in his development through his mentor Pastor Kevin Childs and taking classes at DTS (Dallas Theological Seminary). Pastor Smith motto: It's time to “Get Active” and win souls for the Kingdom of God.

Pastor Smith has been married to Tiffany Y. Smith for 27 years and they have three children together, Jada, Jalen, and Jianna Smith. Pastor Smith and Tiffany also have one grandchild Kyrie Terrell Smith.
